Heikin Ashi Strategy

Entry

Here is an entry strategy that is based on Heikin-Ashi charts. In the three years I have been into trading, this system is a good way to pick up entry points.

Step 1: Determine the primary direction. To do this, look into the color of the last bar of the daily Heikin-Ashi chart.

Step 2: Determine the prevailing trend. To do this, look at 1 Hour Heikin-Ashi chart. Load up Moving Average Exponential – 20 bars. For entry conditions to be true:

  • Last bar color, and the EMA slope should match primary daily bar
  • The price should be above EMA in case of buying, below EMA in case of selling

If these conditions are not true, wait until it comes true, or look for another pair. If the conditions are true, go to the third step.

Step 3: Use MACD to confirm the entry on 15 min Heikin Ashi Chart.

Exit

If your trade goes into profit, exit only when the Heikin-Ashi bar changes color on Hourly chart on the 2nd step.
